Sandra Shutter Shows at Feminist Fair in Seneca Falls

Artist Sandra Shutter showed her art at a booth in the Women's Music and Feminist Fair during the Women's March in Seneca Falls this past January 19th, 2019. Shutter joined Karen Hempson at the Feminist Fair. Hempson coordinated a booth for the Women's March sponsors, selling tee-shirts, buttons, and other memorabilia to help with the costs of putting on the March in Seneca Falls. Thank you to both of these Pen Women.

Dafoe Essay Published in Paris Journal 34th Parallel

Nancy Avery Dafoe's wide-ranging essay "Tell Him to be Kind to Women" has just been published in the 60th issue of the cultural journal 34th Parallel that is published in Paris. Her essay was written for and about her grandson Enzo Cusano and the advice we give or wish we could give to the children we love. It explores questions about love, racism in our country, sexism, and cultural mores. "Tell Him to be Kind to Women" previously earned finalist status in the William Faulkner/William Wisdom international competition in the genre.
