Rachael Ikins has been named Associate Editor of Clare Songbirds Publishing House. Her job duties include reading manuscripts for publication, writing cover blurbs for the book store on site, and graphics design. More about her can be found in www.claresongbirdspub.com/ourteam. Her manuscript for young readers, ages 1st-3rd grade, has been accepted for publication as a chapter book. Artist Katie Turner has a busy October planned with a number of showings, including work hung in the Onondaga Art Guild at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society, 3800 East Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13214. Dafoe's Second in a Series Mystery Both End in Speculation Released
Both End in Speculation, the second in the Vena Goodwin murder mystery series by Nancy A. Dafoe, was released as an ebook by the publisher Rogue Phoenix Press. The paperback version of the novel has also been released and is available through Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble.com.
Hempson's and Dafoe's Work Recognized in Faulkner Competition
Karen Hempson's essay "Lotus Flowers" was a semi-finalist and Nancy Dafoe's essay "Raison d’Etre" was a finalist in the essay category of the William Faulkner - William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition, an international competition sponsored annually by the Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society in New Orleans. Dafoe's short story "Standing on the Porch..." was also a finalist in the 2018 short story competition. Her novella Naimah and Ajmal was a semi-finalist in the 2018 compet
