CNY Pen Women Artists to Exhibit at Center for the Arts of Homer, NY

Artists from the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW), Central New York Branch, will exhibit selected artwork at the Center for the Arts of Homer, New York this summer. This special showing, “In the Company of Women—Celebration,” will take place at the Center for the Arts from June 18 through June 28, 2019. A public reception for the Pen Women Show will be held on June 21 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the gallery area of the Center for the Arts, and refreshments will be served.

“We are pleased to have this opportunity to partner with the Center for the Arts to bring some incredible artwork to the Homer community,” said CNY Branch President Mary Gardner. Current Branch Vice President for Programming Karen Hempson is serving as coordinator for this special gallery showing.

Among the exhibitors for “In the Company of Women--Celebration” are a number of well-known, Pen Women artists whose work has earned top prizes in juried shows in the New York, including Wendy Harris, Katie Turner, Susan Murphy, Marilyn Forth, Joan Applebaum, and Sheila M. Byrnes. Harris was recently commissioned as the 2D artist whose works are featured at Upstate Medical Center’s new Cancer Treatment Center in Syracuse.
