Rachael Ikins' Busy Summer of Production

This summer has seen Rachael Ikins interviewed here and abroad. Not only has her book Eating the Sun launched, but multiple anthologies, to which she was asked to contribute, will also debut, on topics from dogs loved and lost to feminist, survivor, and ecological themes.

Ikins' photography has graced two journal covers this July. The online site dontdiepress.com asked her to participate in a paired poets’ book review project.

Her work has recently been nominated for several prizes, and her poetry will be appearing in several new journals that have recently accepted her poems.

In addition, Rachael is co-editing Clare Songbirds’ military anthology The Brave. Proceeds from the book will benefit Semper Canine. Rachael will be the featured reader in Rochester at Just Poets Presents in August.
