CNY Branch of the NLAPW

A Walk Through History and Over 104 Acres

Our CNY Branch of the NLAPW went to Stone Quarry Hill Art Park outside Cazenovia for a walk along the trails and to hear Dr. Juhanna Rogers talk about how women of color have found ways to create art in and through racism and economic obstacles. Rogers, author of the play "QueenDom" and the poetic performance "Shattering," is the host and woman behind the WCNY/PBS television program "Behind the Woman."

Along one of the trails on the 104-acre Art Park are the quotations from Juhanna's play "QueenDom" which she wrote while an artist in residence at the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.

An amazing day with creative women in the CNY Branch as well as prospective new members to our Branch. Many thanks to Georgia Popoff for arranging this dynamic experience for us.
