Carolyn Clark's poem "Blood Coming Out of Her Betsy Ross" will be the featured poem as "Best in Show" in the forthcoming issue of the Altadena Poetry Review 2026.
Clark's poem was created in ekphrastic response to artist Marcie Brozyna's painting Pro Patria Mori, on exhibit in the Schweinfurth Art Center's "Made in New York" exhibition in Auburn, New York. Carolyn read her new work at a special event of NLAPW CNY Branch poets and "Made in New York" exhibitors at the Schweinfurth last May.
