Lisa Harris and Nancy Dafoe with New Books Released
Lisa Harris has written a new book of poetry titled Learning to Pray. Reviewed, book is a "lovely and startling collection of poetry that excavates our natural world and our frightening contrived one. How to love and connect, to find holiness amid nature and with each other." It is available in multiple formats, including Kindle.

Nancy Dafoe's new novel The Woman Who Talked After Death was released from the publisher Pen Women Press on September 1, 2026. The literary novel, Dafoe's 17th book, follows the story of a young woman shot by her husband but surviving in a "locked-in" state, speaking words seemingly unrelated to her surroundings. The novel explores themes of "domestic violence" against women, how people search for and find meaning, the way in which people interpret the words of others through their own lens and belief systems in a novel that is realistic but with a touch of magic realism.
